Jeffrey was sharing a room with his mother in a nursing home when his doctor reached out to SDC to find out if Jeffrey would be eligible to live in our Fieldston residence. Jeffrey was 300 lbs when our staff met him and began working with him toward residential placement. Jeffrey moved into the Fieldston residence twelve years ago with ambulation problems and utilizing a CPAP machine for sleep apnea at night. Since living at the Fieldston residence, Jeffrey has been an advocate for healthy eating and is actively involved in the Special Olympics. Jeffrey is now a very healthy 175 lb. man, who is extremely active in the operations of the Fieldston residence, as well as in his community.Success Stories
